Free AI email writer

Tell it what the email is for and the facts you need to get across. You get two things back: a ready-made prompt to paste into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and a plain starter draft you can edit yourself.

To be upfront: this page doesn’t call an AI model. It builds the prompt and draft from templates, right here in your browser, so it’s free and nothing you type leaves your device.

1. Your prompt for an AI assistant

Copy this into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. The more real detail you’ve added above, the less the AI has to guess.

Help me write an email. I need to ask for something politely and make it easy to say yes.
It’s going to a colleague.
What it’s about: [describe the situation in a sentence].
Points I need to include:
- [add the facts: names, dates, numbers, what happened]
What I want them to do after reading it: [e.g. reply by Friday, approve the leave, send a refund].
Tone: friendly. Keep it short: under 120 words.

Please give me:
1. Three subject line options
2. The email itself, with a short greeting and sign-off
3. One sentence on anything you think I should add or check

Write it the way a real person would: plain words, no clichés like “I hope this email finds you well”, no exclamation marks unless the tone calls for it. Don’t invent facts, dates or promises I haven’t given you; put [brackets] where something is missing.

2. Or start from this draft

Prefer to write it yourself? Here’s a simple structure with your details dropped in. Fill the [brackets] and read it aloud before you send.

FAQ

Does this tool use AI to write my email?

No. It runs entirely in your browser using templates. It gives you two things: a detailed prompt to paste into a free AI assistant like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and a plain starter draft you can edit yourself. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved.

Why not just write the email for me?

Generating text properly needs an AI model, and the good ones cost money to run. Rather than hide a paid service behind a sign-up, we build the prompt for you so you can use the free plan of an assistant you already have.

Which AI should I paste the prompt into?

Any general assistant works. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini all have free plans. If you write a lot of email, our guide to the best AI tools for writing emails compares the options.

Is it safe to put private details in?

The tool itself doesn’t send anything. But once you paste the prompt into an AI service, that service’s privacy terms apply, so leave out passwords, account numbers and anything confidential.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no limits.
